Adria moved to Brecksville fourteen years ago with express intent to have her daughters attend our excellent schools. She has been actively involved in her children’s education, has shown interest in issues affecting the school district throughout the years, and has attended many school board meetings.
Adria’s career has included management positions in industrial engineering, finance, and
continuous improvement operations. Her skills will be beneficial in helping her make the best possible decisions for our district as issues arise.
As someone who has served this district for 40 years - 36 as an elementary classroom teacher and four as a school board member - I am well-aware of how this district operates and what it takes to lead.

Like Adria, I also have two daughters in our school district, and as a BBH Dad, I care deeply about direction of the district and who sits on our school board.
I’ve had the privilege of knowing Adria Catanese, not only as a fellow parent, but also as a leader in her field and a skilled business professional. Adria has been attending school board meetings for quite awhile and she and I have discussed issues in the district affecting our kids. I know she can bring a firsthand understanding of what our students need as well as a commitment to listen to parents, families, and teachers (my wife is an educator).
When Adria told me she was running, I was impressed at her dedication and willingness to fight for our kids as well as her commitment to the future of our district.
